Noor Homes was created through the lived experiences of young people living in 16+ accommodation, and knowing that things could be done differently. Noor Homes looks to revolutionise the way we see 16+ placements and has a team that is passionate about young people's rights, autonomy and need for equality
All of Noor Homes staff have excellent knowledge and skills in working and communicating with young people. Each team member has also undertaken additional training in Adverse Childhood Experiences and Early Trauma, Radicalisation and Prevent, Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Safeguard and Mental Wellbeing training.
Staff qualifications and backgrounds include registered Social Workers, Lawyers, inhouse TEFL teachers, in addition to native Arabic, French and Spanish speaking team members.
All staff within Noor Homes are managed and overseen by a registered Social Worker, and are provided with regular supervision. Continued training and development is also undertaken by all staff with young people encouraged to participate in the shaping and delivery of these sessions.
All staff have DBS checks, including our secure transportation team who offer specialist transport services for young people, in addition to those visiting Noor Homes who provide sports coaching, art sessions, sexual health advice and more.
Noor Homes was created in a partnership of both a qualified Lawyer and a qualified Social Worker with many years experience collectively in both immigration and asylum, Child Protection, fostering and adoption.
This marrying of skillsets and knowledge results in excellent care, support and service provision for all.
